Kristina Anderson Returns to Virginia Tech Campus

To show support for the community and families of victims, Kristina Anderson accompanied counselors and a Blacksburg police officer on a private visit to Norris Hall, returning to the Virginia Tech campus for the first time since the tragedy. A very moving experience, Anderson took time to honor victims at the temporary memorial on the drill field following the visit.

Upon her return home, Anderson attended the latest Virginia Tech Review Panel meeting at the George Mason Patriot Center. A long day of discussion, the review consisted of various guest speakers analyzing pertinent issues, including mental health treatment, effectiveness of school counseling programs, and the gun control debate. The panel ended with certain

unanswered questions still in the air, but a clear consensus was reached on the necessity of purposeful action and the implementation of new or revised policies. The review panel meeting also served as a wonderful opportunity for injured victims to reunite and meet the parents of their deceased classmates.
